Today I am excited to share something a little different, some recipes! (Sorta)
I have not been the healthiest eater in my lifetime, which is the biggest understatement of the year. That is something that I plan on preventing in Thatcher's case. So far he has proved to be the opposite, eating every kind of baby food we've given him, after that initial "yuck" face. I wanted to make his baby food from the start, and love the benefits that come along with it. He won't be as limited to simple mixtures or the same kind of foods, and will still be eating super healthy. To ease him into new foods, the first batch I made mainly consisted of fruits.
You can add as much or as little you want to these recipes. I added one of each item, excluding the berries and kale, because the amount fit nicely into our food processor. As you puree, you can add to taste if you want to make it a little sweeter. I refrigerated the shown amount, and had about four containers of the same size in each flavor to freeze.
These taste so good. And even better, Thatcher thinks so too. No yuck face at the first bite! I'm looking forward to trying new things, the options are limitless. Hopefully he'll like them as much when they taste like vegetables. ;)
