There is something so refreshing and important about getting away from "life". Unplugging from social media and electronics. (Besides my kindle, of course.) Not seeing anything but what is right in front of you that you take for granted everyday. Who is with you because they want to be with you and how blessed we are to disappear together in God's beautiful creation.
We really wanted to take advantage of the fall weather and fit in a camping trip before it got too chilly. We set up camp near Taum Sauk Mountain in Missouri, on a drizzly afternoon. Despite the small bouts of rain, it was really pleasant weather to sit around a fire. It was also Tobi's first camping trip, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried, but he did really well and seemed to enjoy himself. I believe the highlights of his trip were our meals and peeing on the highest point of Missouri in true Tobias fashion.
