Laurel Falls

The first trail we hiked was Laurel Falls. Being an easy hike, it tends to be a popular one, so of course we woke early to grab all the solitude we possibly could. Thankfully we only saw three groups while we were at the falls and they left pretty quickly, while we climbed down the rocks and listened to the water for awhile.

These hikes, while difficult for my physically and emotionally drained from the wedding week body, were refreshing. Geoffrey and I were ones to take frequent road trips to hike trails and get lost in beautiful places, but the past year proved taxing on our free time and my stamina. It will take some time to fully respect nature as I did before, but it will be time well spent.
